The  bankers  continue to fine-tune themselves ahead of their first leg in the CAF  Confederations Cup   against AO CMS  from Gabon  away later this month.

The Nomads, who missed the services of their key players who were with the Senior Flames in Comoros and Under-23 in Botswana, looked a different side.

They featured most of their players, who sit on the bench or civilian.

For instance, in goals they featured William Thole, while Harry Nyirenda, Francis Mulimbika and Wongani Kaipa marshalled the defence.

On the midfield, the Nomads featured Semion Singa and Francisco Madinga, as Mike Kaziputa and Khumbo Ng’ambi operated from the wings, while Precious Msosa and Misheck Botomani started upfront.

On the bench, they had only strikers in Esau Kanyenda, Peter Wadabwa, Julius Kajembe and Zicco Mkanda.

Allan Kamanga took charge as the coach, since their head coach, Bob Mpinganjira was away on national duty with Malawi Under-23.

For the bankers, they also missed the services of their four players who were on national duties plus their goalkeeper’s trainer, Sibusiso Padambo.

However, coach Lovemore Fazil had no headache like Kamanga since he still had regular players like Thuso Paipi, Duncan Nyoni, Hebert Wayekha, Victor Limbani, Mike Thete, Khuda Muyaba plus Young Chimodzi jnr.

It was an entertaining encounter, but the Nomads utilized their chances in the first half as they scored twice courtesy of Misheck Botomani and Harry Nyirenda.

The bankers also had opportunities to secure goals, but they lacked composure inside the box. The notable chance came in the 60th minute when Thuso Paipi managed to snake through Francis Mulimbika and Mike Kaziputa before gifting Mwayila a chance to kiss the back of Thole’s net. Oops! With the keeper to beat, Mwayila shoot wide to the dismay of spectators.

Meanwhile, the bankers are expected to leave on Wednesday for Kenya where they will play a friendly match before proceeding to Gabon.
