Communist Party of China, Malawi’s DPP vow to strengthen ties
Malawi’s ruling Democratic Progress Party (DPP) senior officials and the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a meeting in Beijing during which the two sides vowed to further strengthen their ties.
According to China’s Xinhua news agency, DPP was led by Secretary General Wakuda Kamanga durig the meeting
Kamanga spoke highly of China-Malawi ties, which feature frequent high-level visits, increasing political mutual trust and fruitful cooperation in all areas.
“This has brought substantial benefits to both sides,” he said.
Kamanga thanked China for its assistance in Malawi’s national construction, and spoke highly of the CPC as the DPP’s true friend and sincere cooperation partner.
He said the DPP will strengthen the two parties’ exchanges and cooperation, and learn from China’s experiences in national construction.
On his part He Yong, deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said:”The CPC attaches importance to its relationship with the DPP and will further enhance our cooperation and exchanges, and promote the continuous and sound development of China-Malawi relations.”
DPP delegation visited Beijing at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
