American musicians, Ethel Kamwendo-Banda to perform at Flood Church worship night
American-based worship leaders, Kei’Ana and Jadyn, are set to perform in Malawi alongside the country’s award-winning gospel musician Ethel Kamwendo-Banda.
The three will grace the Lilongwe Flood Church night of worship slated for 17 June.
Done in collaboration with Live Love Malawi, the night of worship will take place at Crossroads Hotel, Sapitwa Hall.
“Live Love Malawi in partnership with their sister organization in Arizona will bring the two worship leaders from the USA, while the Malawi team has agreed and confirmed with Ethel Kamwendo-Banda to perform at the night of worship”, confirmed event coordinator Humphreys Mkandawire.
“The night of worship will be an environment where people from all works of life will encounter the living God. We hope to see people from all walks of life encounter Jesus in ways they never experienced Him before,” he explained.
According to Mkandawire, the theme of the night of worship is ‘In His Presence’ and it has been drawn from Psalms 16:11, which says “you make known to me the path of life; in your presence there’s fullness of joy”.
“We are therefore inviting people to an encounter with God where He will reach out to them and that only happens in His presence,” he extended the invitation.
Despite the engagement of such endowed performers, the night of worship event is free of charge and will start from 5pm and finish around 9pm.
All the singers during the night will be backed by Mafilika Band and there will be paying transport to different locations in the city after the event.
