To up the stakes for the Blantyre derby scheduled for Kamuzu Stadium, Malawi’s historic soccer theatre of dreams,

TNM is urging soccer fans to send more SMSs under Sapota Mapeto to help support their clubs find solid ground financially.

Public Relations and Sponsorship Manager Limbani Nsapato said the two sets of fans to take advantage of the derby and increase participation in Sapota Mapeto and help their team cash in on the K1.5 million one-off purse for the first club to hit 300,000 SMSs.

“This is the best opportunity  for the two teams’  supporters to show that the can be able to support  their respective clubs to raise funds for their operations through an SMS campaign dubbed   and also hit the 300,000  SMS’s and get a once –off K1.5 m reward Sapota Mapeto,” said Nsapato.

Nsapato therefore called on all Super League clubs to encourage their fans to endorse Sapota Mapeto promotion to support their respective teams at the same time wining different prizes in the promotion.

“It is a double win for football fans because while supporting your favorite team to generate revenue, the fans are also winning different prizes including cash that TNM is giving out every month in Sapota Mapeto promotion,” said Nsapato.

Currently, Big Bullets is toping on Sapota Mapeto promotion with 159,487 SMS’s seconded by its rivals Be Forward Wanders with 90,280 SMS’s and Red Lions is on bottom with 193 SMS’s hit.

Comment #7 is a clear show of defeat. Much as we know that BB has no sponsorship, but that is not reason enough to pave way for your rivals to win the prize money. The fact of the matter remains that BB has got more supporters than any team in Malawi (and that’s what makes it the People’s Team) and no matter how you try you know that you can’t outdo them.
