Bullets FC tops in Sapota Mapeto Promotion

Big Bullets continue to demonstrates that indeed it is the People’s Team as evidenced by the amount of revenue generated in the on going Sapota Mapeto, a promotion designed to give football fans opportunity to help their teams to generate revenue.

In the first month of the promotion, Big Bullets fans have sent 39023 SMSs translating to K1, 474,445  revenue. Their rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers got 26,688 SMSs with K991,445 while Silver Strikers is coming with 3,150 SMSs generating revenue of K169,200.

Speaking during the first draw held at TNM Limbe Techno Park, new TNM Head of Marketing Division Webster Mbekeani said it was encouraging that football fans continue to assist their respective teams through Sapota Mapeto promotion.

“This is the best time to connect and support your favorite clubs. Through our network platform, we are helping clubs raise funds for their operations through an SMS campaign dubbed Sapota Mapeto and in this season TNM has brought new innovative ideas to make the promotion more exciting to the football fans,” said Mbekeani.

Mbekeani said TNM is optimistic that the money to be generated from the promotion will go a long way not only for the general operations of the teams but also towards the welfare of individual players.

“It is our hope that the Sapota Mapeto promotion will tie in with the theme for the TNM 2015 Super League Season Our players, our heroes, our pride. Our players can only be taken care of and enjoy the game if we all join hands to uplift their welfare and Sapota Mapeto promotion is one such avenue,” said Mbekeani.

Mbekeani said TNM has embarked on a campaign to engage supporters on how best they can assist their teams through Sapota Mapeto Promotion so that they have clear understanding on the promotion

“One such development is the supporters’ club engagement initiative through which TNM is engaging supporters to get them to know more about Sapota Mapeto and fully embrace the concept. We have so far interacted with Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers supporter before reach out to all the 15 clubs,” he said.

During the draw one fan got K200, 000 while others went away with smart phone, Flames replica jerseys and airtime from TNM.

Meanwhile, TNM has announced that it will award journalists at the end of promotion as one way of recognizing their role towards promoting Sapota Mapeto initiative

Four outstanding journalists in print, online media, TV and radio shall be rewarded with Samsung Galaxy tablets at the end of the promotion.

Let Tnm sponsor the champion to caf that will be more exposure of our local players .slam must take this inesetive not winning league and they don’t participate in any regional competition
