Defender Bongani Kaipa quits Mighty Wanderers: Frustrated
Mighty Wanderers defender Bongani Kaipa has call it a quit at the Lali-Lubani road side due to frustrations after being kept on the bench for four consecutive games.
Kaipa confirmed the news with Nyasa Times on Thursday afternoon.
“Enough is enough l have resigned from Wanderers because l cannot be warming the bench up to four games without being told the reason,” he said.
In his resignation letter with copies to Wanderers general secretary David Kanyenda and the chairman George Chamangwana, Kaipa said the main reason for quitting the Nomads is that he want game time.
“I cannot be warming up the bench because that means l will lose my position at national team. May be I am not good enough for them so as of now l just want to keep it low,” said Kaipa.
When Nyasa Times contacted Wanderers general secretary David Kanyenda he said:” Ask the boy because as far as we are concerned we have not yet received any resignation letter from him.”
Kaipa made headlines before the 2012-2013 kicked-off when he went to Silver Strikers but he could sign for the Bankers
