Douglas Chirambo serving Bullets suspension
Bullets FC have suspended vice captain Douglas Chirambo on disciplinary grounds.
Bullets General Secretary Harold Fote said the leftback was slapped with a two-week suspension but he did not shed light on the case.
He said the player would return to action next week having served one week.
“We don’t want to have undisciplined players in our team hence the suspension.”
Chirambo, who is no stranger to cases of stepping on the toes of officials would lose allowances for the period he will be serving the suspension.
In another development Bullets have said they would not panic over the absence of their first choice goalkeeper Vincent Gona who is with the national team in Chad.
Fote said the team would rely on goalkeepers who are relatively unknown.
“We have replacement for Gona and people expect that we will use one of our new goalkeepers we have signed this season in the game against Chikhwawa on Sunday,” he said.
Bullets were dealt a blow when former choice Owen Chaima left for team after noticing that his slump in form could not guarantee him first team position in the season.
