Malawi Police  Service in Lilongwe have arrested a 36-year-old woman on suspicion that she stole K276 000 cash while posing as a cashier at a wedding ceremony.

Woman posed as a cashier

According to Lilongwe Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Foster Benjamin, the suspect has been identified as Enifa Sesani who posed  as Patricia Chikhwaza.

He said the suspect was arrested on Saturday at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe where the wedding ceremony took place.

EEeeee too bad to the newly wedded couple. Kulakwa koma

Hate it or take it but it's a fact

Wedding is not meant to make quick cash or as a business, wedding is mere ceremonial thing for couples to get together but these days we have seen it that many people turn to use wedding as a business to make money that’s why u meet these crooked cashiers as they know your motives.

They also need their share of the proceed .

This is the culture we have in Malawi at the moment, where everyone wants to have everything overnight without even working for it. You check on social media, everyone is doing exceptionally well but in reality, we get stories like these every day.
