FAM announces Carlsberg Cup quarter venues
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on Friday released venues for the prestigious Carlsberg Cup Quarter finals Blantyre, Lilongwe and Balaka to host mouthwatering games.
The venues have been confirmed by FAM’s Media Manager, Gomergzan Zakazaka.
“The quarter finals games will be played this coming weekend,” he disclosed.
On Saturday, Mafco FC will host Masters Security at the Civo Stadium while Nyasa Big Bullets takes on Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium.
On Sunday, Hangover will face Blue Eagles at Balaka Stadium.
The winners between Be Forward Wanderers and Dwangwa United will face Azam Tigers at a venue to be announced on Tuesday.
Wanderers will play Dwangwa United on Tuesday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Nyasa Big Bullets are current cup holders who defeated Be Forward Wanderers last season.
Bullets have scored 14 goals in two Carlsberg Cup matches, setting the pace for the Golden Boot award battle.
In their first game, the Peoples Team baptized Mitundu FC 8-0 in the round of 32 before clipping Changalume Barracks 6-0 in the round of 16.
Mike Mkwate is the current top scorer having scored five goals.
