Five notorious criminals nabbed in Kasungu
Malawi Police in Kasungu on Wednesday arrested a group of five “gangster” men who have been terrorising the district by breaking into houses and stealing items.
The suspects have been identified as a 24 year old Gibo Banda, Samson Phiri, 22, Simpulo Mwale, 27, Elias Kamanga, 28 and Happy Sato, 31.
Police suspect the five men are e responsible for series of breaking offenses which have been happening in Kasungu since December last year.
Following their arrest, various items which include six mattresses, assorted clothes, entertainment units, three bicycles among others.
Banda hails from Mchacha village, Tradition Authority Nsabwe in Thyolo District, Kamanga hails from Chipaye village , Tradition Authority Kapelula, Sato hails from Kapawala Village, Tradition Authority Kaomba, Mwale hails from Mwimila village and Phiri from Katondo village both from Tradition Authority Wimbe in Kasungu District.
