Football Association of Malawi opens Mpira Bar
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on Thursday officially opened the Mpira Sports Bar at Chiwembe Technical Centre giving an opportunity to residents of the commercial city Blantyre and soccer lovers to converge the bar hosting a lot of entertainment packages.
For instance, apart from alcohol and soft drinks, soccer lovers will be able to watch English Premier League games as the place is fully equipped with Plasma TV’s subscribed to Dstv.
Opening the bar in the presence of the media, Fam general secretary Sugzo Nyirenda emphasized that the pub will help Malawi FA in their commercialization ambition.
“We will be able to generate funds through the bar and our only plea to the general public is to patronize the bar because it will offer a range of entertainment,” he said.
Apart from the bar, people will be able to enjoy playing pool and a gym is to open soon as well.
