German Football Federation awards Mtawali
The German Football Federation has promised to offer more training opportunities for Malawian coaches as one way of uplifting soccer in the country.
The revelation was made on Tuesday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre by the German Embassy Deputy Head of Mission to Malawi Johannes Scharlau when he was awarding Malawi Under 20 coach Ernest Mtawali with an lnternational DFB A Level coaching certificate through the German Embassy in Malawi.
The former Flames midfielder maestro was awarded this certificate having successfully completed the three week course last year.

Scharlau said Mtawali alongside compatriot Patrick Mabedi did well in the course and have been eye marked for future top level courses in Germany.
In his remarks, Mtawali said the certificate is another milestone in his budding coaching career and said he seeks to attain more top coaching qualifications.
The German Embassy also made a donation of balls and training shirts to the Under 20 team which is preparing for the second-leg encounter against Botswana on April 25 in Gaborone in the 2015 African Youth Championship.
