Victor Khamalatha has been crowned champion of the second edition of the Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) Winter Tour Golf Championship, firing a total gross score of 155 to see off stiff competition and claim the coveted title.

Khamalatha edged out runner-up Gabriel Kambale by two shots, while third-placed Mike Juma finished a further two strokes back, rounding out a closely fought battle at the top of the leaderboard.
Elsewhere in the field, Rashid Salim claimed victory in the professionals’ category, while Samuel Debwe and Innocent Mkandawire took top honours in the A and B divisions respectively. In the ladies’ event, Satakwao Zuze was crowned champion.
The two-day tournament, which attracted 17 golfers competing in the championship category, was backed by Rainbow Paints Limited as platinum sponsors, alongside partners OH Wines and Oranux IT Consulting.
Speaking after the tournament, Rainbow Paints corporate sales manager Farouk Jungu and Oranux senior sales and marketing consultant Tammie-rose Chimbenje both expressed delight at their companies’ association with what remains widely regarded as “the gentleman’s game.”
The championship is expected to continue growing in stature as an annual fixture on Blantyre Sports Club’s golfing calendar, drawing competitive fields across multiple divisions each year.
