Gwengwe awards genius students with laptops and cash: School gets new bus
In a quest to promote hard work amongst student, one of the highly rated privates secondary schools in the country, Alice Gwengwe Foundation has embarked on a prestigious program of recognising deserving students doing well in class.

Gwengwe Girls and Sosten Gwengwe Boys Private Secondary Schools said this over the weekend when the adminstration of the school rewarded outstanding students.
The successful students were awarded with modern HP laptops and monetary rewards for outstanding performance.
Gwengwe said the awards were in recognition of hard work and selflessness.
The rewardees were those that scored 13 points and below.
Gwengwe, apart from giving out the laptops and cash to genius students also gave out K75,000 to deserving teachers.
“I a lso gave out the cash to members of staff basically to encourage them to put more effort in their work,” said Gwengwe
On the other hand, Gwengwe awarded a motor bike to the head teacher who has been at school since 2008.
Gwengwe schools are famous for the good results when it comes to Malawi National Examingtions Board Results standing at 80 Percent since 2008.
Currently, the school has 21 students who scored below 19 points.
In a separate interview, a recipient of the laptop, Juliana Mwase, commended Gwengwe for the motivation.
Mwase said she will start a college life in a different way.
At the moment, Gwengwe schools comprises of 550 girls and 300 boys.
