Kabwafu gets Limbe Leaf boost: K2.5m sports equipment
Kabwafu FC has been handed a morale booster when Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company (LLTC) gave them sports equipment worth K2.5 million on Saturday ahead of their quarter final match in K60 million Presidential Cup against Silver Strikers.
The equipment includes 25 pairs Jomo Sono boots, 30 tracksuits, 10 footballs, 15 jerseys and shorts.
It is meant to help Kwabwafu as the club it set to return to the top flight Simama Mzuzu and District Footall League.
“Giving is our social corporate responsibility. We plough back the goodies to our Kabwafu farmers after our long-time association and we wish the club well in all its endeavours,” said LLTC managing director Rodney Hagger at St Andrew’s CCAP Church in Mzuzu where he made the donation
Kabwafu FC patron Traditional Authority Mpherembe described the donation as a “morale booster.”
“We will show our appreciation to Limbe Leaf by doing well in the Presidential Cup and the Simama league so that we can bounce back in the Super League,” Mpherembe said.
