According to one of the organisers of the fundraiser Francisco Mpambe, the show is aimed at raising funds for one Samuel Nkhoma whose life is in danger after sustaining serious injuries in a fatal road accident that left him with multiple spinal fractures, perforated lungs, broken ribs and aorta.

Mpambe told Nyasa Times in an interview on Friday that they are doing this on a noble cause.

“Sam has been a member of one of our WhatsApp groups and upon hearing that his condition is worsening, we thought of doing something. Personally what I had to do was to talk to artists who can help to do a show and fundraise for his trip to India together with a guardian. We are told government through the Ministry of Health already included him on its list but he need to find money for his air ticket and Visa fee together with the guardian” explained Mpambe.

“We therefore urge fellow youths and well wishers to assist us and patronise the fundraising show. Be assured that all the funds will go to Sam” he added.

According to Sam’s Sister Sarah Lindeire, Sam has been struggling since 2003 when he was 19 years old when he was involved in a fatal accident that nearly claimed his life.

“The accident indeed happened in 2003 and since then he has been struggling. He subsequently trained as a Lawyer but has not been employed due his condition” she said while pleading for support.

During Saturday’s Show, Lulu and Gwamba will perform alongside Kell Kay and Martse.

Entrance at the door will be K3,000 per person and or artists interested to join the noble cause can call 0999912536 or 0888179397.

The show will start at 8pm till late.
