Malawi to hold food and music festival
Malawi will for the first time ever hold a food and music festival under the banner Ovation Fusion Festival which is slated for 26-28 August, 2016.
According to the Event Manager Felistus Ngwira from Ovation Advertising Agency, the event will take place at Umodzi Park (Bingu International Conference Centre-BICC) and is being organized with assistance from Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), Superior Food Market and Umodzi Park.
Ngwira said the event is aimed at bringing families together.
“Fusion festival is the first unique new age festival that will provide an opportunity for spending a weekend with family while indulging in music and great food,” said Ngwira.
“This promises to be the biggest food and music extravaganza to maiden in Lilongwe with sizzling entertainment and even bigger focus on food and all things culinary. The event is happening for the first time but people must expect fire works,” she added.
She further revealed that the Fusion Festival will be an annual event.
Tickets for the event will be on the market this week and can be accessed from Chicken Land Restaurant (Shoprite), Steers (City Centre), Mbowe Filling Statiom, Area 18 Puma Filling Station, Jacaranda, Mhub and Superior Food Market.
Patrons will pay K3,000 per head for each day but there is also a pack of five family members going at K12,000 while a pack of ten people will be sold at K28,000.
