Malawians in UK are getting busy with activities aimed at celebrating Independence Day in style with veteran singer and  former dancing queen  of Lucius Banda’s Zembani band, Emma Masauko among the artists to perform at an event organised for July 8 in Coventry.

Malawi celebrates her independence from Britain on 6 July.

Promoters  Africa Coming Up told  Nyasa Times that Malawians  in UK will celebrate Malawi’s 53rd independence anniversary through a music show.

Organisers said  the celebration will take on board Malawian artists in UK to perform at the independence gala 8th July 2017 at Palms bar, Coventry.

Masauko will be joined on stage by Heavie T. Prince Langa,  Malawian DJ Forbes and many more..

“It will be a night to remember, a night packed with live music,live Dj’s and BBQ on the balcony,” Harry Chimwele , one of the organisers  told Nyasa Times.
