Malawi star Kaliati signs 5-year deal with Cape Town City FC
Malawi national team and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers winger Isaac ‘Tcheya’ Kaliati has been signed for a five –year deal by South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Cape Town City.
According to Kickoff, the Malawian player has been confirmed by the club to have been signed but finer details of the deal were not revealed.
“Cape Town City have confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Malawian Isaac Kaliati,” Kickoff reported on its website.
“The Citizens confirmed Thursday evening they had added a new option to their roster and revealed the player’s identity early Friday morning,” Kickoff quoted a post on the club’s official Facebook Page, which reads: ” We can confirm the acquisition of 18-year-old Malawian Isaac Kaliati.”
The development comes after Nyasa Times broke the news that he has passed the trials.
Kaliati joined Be Forward Wanderers from their tradition poaching ground Tigers cage.
Former Malawi national football team coach Ernest Mtawali touted the player as a rising star and was a crucial part in his rebuilding initiative.
Cape Town City have taken the Absa Premiership by storm this season leading from the front.
