Malawi TNM Super League back in action for second round
TNM Super League second round goes into top action in week 17 with six matches to be played this coming weekend.
Two games have been slated for Saturday in Mzuzu and Dwangwa while ‘super’ Sunday will play host to four encounters that will signal significant battle for points.
On Saturday, 15th placed Dwangwa United need to redeem themselves and collect maximum points as they play host 14th placed Blantyre United at Chitowe stadium.
This game game is a relegation battle as both teams are tie on 11 points each and a win any will means moving out of the cob web.
On the same saturday, Bottom team, Chitipa United need to start collecting maximum points at home if they harbour ambitions of staying in the league when they face much improved Civil Sporting at Mzuzu stadium.
The Servants will go flat out owing to that fact their last game against their traditional rivals Silver Strikers, they lost via a 2-1 beating.
On Sunday, Premier Bet Wizard who are 10th on the log is at home, Mulanje park when they face 11th placed Azam Tigers.
All roads will lead to Area 30, after a Carlsberg bash when fourth placed Blue Eagles will be up in arms against against unbeaten and second placed Silver Strikers at Nankhaka ground.
A win for Blue Eagles will be a plus and it will enable them to get closer to top three as they have 24 points, four short of third placed Nyasa Big Bullets who are on bye.
Does Blue Eagles have the machinery to stop and make name by beating Silver at home.
If Silver wins then it they will go 16 games unbeaten and this will enable them to return to the top spot.
Mafco need to win to improve their standing as they are sixth on the table and a win against Blantyre United at Chitowe will make then get closer to top 4.
Blantyre United has a tough weekend as they will be playing their second game of the weekend at the same venue as second of the final round of the season.
Will the Blantyre based team have what it takes to collect three points from the soldiers of Salima.
Last game is all soldier battle at Mzuzu stadium when Moyale Barracks, seventh placed take on Red Lions who are ninth on the standing.
It will be battle for supremacy and points collects to out do each other and claim bragging rights of the military footballing sphere.
Come Sunday afternoon the complexion of the log table will have a different look owing to the out come of the games scheduled to be played over the weekend on September 9-10, 2017.
