Malawi’s Mabedi appointed coach for Cape Town All Stars
South Africa’s National First Division side Cape Town All Stars Football Club has confirmed the appointment of former Kaizer Chiefs defender and Malawi National Team international defender Patrick Mabedi as its new coach.
According to the statement released by the club on Monday, Mabedi is expected to join the club and start his job on Wednesday.
“Cape Town All Stars Football Club can confirm the identity of our new head coach-Former Kaizer Chiefs and Malawi international defender Patrick Mabedi” reads the statement.
The club has also revealed the appointment of goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia
“The pair will join the team on Wednesday this week ahead of Friday’s NFD clash with Santos at Parrow Park” reads the statement in part.
Club General Manager Faeez Dulvie has described Mabedi as an ambitious youthful coach who will bring positive change to his struggling side.
Mabedi holds a UEFA coaching licence A and B obtained in Germany.
He will be assisted by Dylan Deam at Cape Town All Stars.
The former Flames legend was last month offered a tempolarly one month Assistant Coach role alongside care taker coach Burundian Nsazurwimo Ramadhan at the Flames.
