Man held for being found with human private parts
Police in Mzimba have arrested a 32 year old Moses Malengenya Phiri from Kafoteka Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mzikubora in the district for allegedly being found with human private parts.
Mzimba Police Station Crimination Investigation Department Officer, George Chilinda, said the suspect was arrested on Sunday for being found with private parts believed to have been cut from a dead body exhumed at a nearby graveyard in the village.
Chilinda said according to police investigations, the suspect exhumed the body of Gibson Mkandawire who was buried on Friday, and cut his private parts.
He said the suspect wrapped the private parts in a black plastic bag and gave it to George Mkandawire, accompanied with a letter which stated that he has brought Gibson Mkandawire back from the dead.
Chilinda said after police ordered the body of the deceased (Gibson Mkandawire) to be re-exhumed, it was discovered the dead body had no private parts.
“The suspect is in police custody and will appear in court soon to answer charges of being found with human private parts, trespassing in a graveyard and tampering with a graveyard,” Chilinda said.
Meanwhile, angry villagers have burnt down the house of the suspect.—Malawi News Agency
