Aside supporting the needy students, Musowa has also rewarded three primary schools in his constituency for producing better Primary School Leaving Certificate examinations results this year.

About 20 pupils from Mulanje district have been selected into national secondary schools; all of them are from various primary schools within Musowa’s constituency.

Mulanje is second district topping this year’s selection into national secondary schools. About 44 pupils got support from the Parliamentarian due to their impressive performance during the Primary School Leaving Certificate examinations.

“It has always been my wish to see our pupils accessing better education. We have to make sure that our youths especially the needy are getting the best education so that we build an educated nation,” said Musowa.

Apart from providing school fees and other educational materials, over the years, Musowa has been supporting needy pupils in his area who are selected to secondary schools.

Over the weekend he gave bags and monetary support to 44 students who are starting their secondary education.

Musowa has since called upon other stakeholders to join hands to support such students if Malawi is to develop.

“It is my appeal to institutions and individuals to come in and support these students. We have to join hands in building our nation, and only education can help us achieve the development  we all need.”

The Parliamentarian gave Satemwa Primary School K150,000 for producing more selected students, Chinyama Primary School got K100,000 for being second followed by Ntata and Masubi Primary schools.
