Mr Malawi Ireland crowned: Lawrence Sigwa
Lawrence ‘Lonto’ Sigwa was on Saturday night crowned Mr Malawi Ireland at a fun-filled occasion well patronized in Dublin, Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge.
Malawi’s multi-skilled songwriter, producer, player of several instruments and singer, Lulu added colour to the event when he performed as ‘Lonto’ was crowned winner of the contest.
One of the organisers Magga White told Nyasa Times that there was display of muscles , defined body cuts and that the men had sound definition of the contest, but at the end it was Lonto, who according to the judges posed the best proportion, symmetry and balance.
The second position went to Jones Mtofu while Ovitta Chimenya trailed on third position.
The contestants competed in four main challenges, namely Malawian History Challenge, Fashion & Style Challenge, Talent Challenge as well as Strength & Body Physique Challenge before competing at the finals.
