The party to start at 8pm will carter as an opener for those interested to know and participate in the show, whose auditions are slated for next week at Protea Hotel Ryalls between 17, 18 and 19 March 2012.
Among those to enthrall fans on the night is sing-jay Maskal & and hip-hop sensation Piksy; award winner Dan Lu & Lulu. The current Afro R&B kid Armstrong will team up with the hip-hop wonder girl Rina.
There will also be Djs to spice up the show in the likes of DJs Boo & Diktator and DJ Lomwe & Marcus (aka DJ Mbuzi).
“The show is in readiness for BBA 7 auditions. The artists will be coming in pairs; this is one way of complementing this year’s theme for the BBA, which is ‘Double Up’ as housemates will enter the competition in pairs. Charges: K750 (Single) K1,200 (Double). Bring your partner and save K300,” reads a statement from MultiChoice Malawi.
According to the statement, this year’s show is dubbed DOUBLE-UP, this means that anyone who wants to enter season 7 must partner with another person to enter as a pair.
Entry is open to citizens from Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Both partners must come from the same country, must be 21 years or older, must be fluent in English and must have a valid passport.
“We’ve had positive feedback from BBA fans who love the challenge of entering in pairs,” says M-Net Africa MD Biola Alabi. “It’s great to see them embrace the change so enthusiastically! And if you haven’t sent your entry in yet, please do so soon. We want to hear from you!”
She also confirmed that, once all the entries were in, the Endemol production team will identify the best entrants and these persons will be invited to a casting session.
“We know that sometimes people do miss the cut-off for sending in their paper entry, so we’re opening the casting sessions again this year to late entries. Those people need to simply come to the casting venue and meet the team. However, a paper entry is still the very best way to get selected. It gives our teams more time to work through to your entry in detail and increases your chances of participating,” Biola Alabi added.
The BBA season 7 will be beamed on DStv channel 198 starting on Sunday May 6.
