No player leaving Tigers, says Alufandika: Seeks Kau-Kau glory return
Azam Tigers Football Club Technical Director Robin Alufandika has announced that the club is targeting to win the league championship and sweep trophies come next season.
Alufandika said this upon the opening of the transfer window by the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) on Thursday 14th January, 2015.
Alufandika stressed that none of their players will leave the ‘Kau-Kau’ club for them to fulfill their dream of winning the championship and trophies.
He said this when he was asked to comment on rumours that their upcoming midfield maestro Yamikani Chester is being targeted by several clubs including Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, current league champions Big Bullets and Central Region giants Silver Strikers.
“Not to my knowledge (that Chester is leaving Azam). We need to sweep cups and we need to win league championship. These are the players that can give us glory” said Alufandika.
“This year we are aiming high and for us to do well, we need to keep all our players” he added.
He however revealed that their technical team will bring in some new faces but from the lower leagues.
Alufandika said they are targeting districts like Dedza, Mangochi and Mzuzu City.
