The station’s  public relations officer Salome Chibwana hailed Plan Malawi for the timely donation saying it has come at a right time when the station was grappling with transportation challenges.

“The motorcycle will go to the department of child protection which its day to day work was being hampered by lack of transport,” Chibwana said.

She said Kanengo Police covers areas in both rural and urban settlement hence facing difficulties in reaching out to remotest areas under its jurisdiction, which often have roads in poor conditions.

Area programs manager for Plan Malawi Hebert Chiduya said the donation was part of a contractual agreement between his organization  and Kanengo Police station and he was pleased to hand over the motorcycle to the station to help the child protection department.
