Pray unto the Lord, He will wipe away your tears
I do not think there is a child of God that can testify an adversary free life. When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we attract adversaries that are committed to bring all sorts of accusations and provocations to stop what God is doing in our lives. The enemy will not fight that which belongs to it already. “If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hate you. (John 15:19).
The bible talks about the story of Hannah and Peninnah who were wives of Elkanah. Hannah had no children yet Peninnah had children and used this to provoke Hannah. The Bible tells us that God shut up her womb and this was a test of Hannah’s faith (1 Samuel 1). This happened for many years but Hannah never resorted for a physical fight with Peninnah. Hannah knew the one that she needed to present her problems to as she was in bitterness.
Peninnah was Hannah’s adversary the same way our adversary brings all sorts of accusations to God’s children. These could be in form of sickness, failure, rejection, fear and many more that can be added to this list. Peninnah’s will always be there to fight God’s children.
Only God can silence our Peninna’s by doing that which no man is able to do. Instead of having a physical fight with our Peninnah’s, lets fight on our knees always praying to God. There is no such thing as too much prayer as the enemy tries to discourage God’s children that they are overdoing prayers. In fact, the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Peninnah’s are not there to bring your downfall but help bring your breakthrough. Without Peninnah Hannah would not have prayed unto the Lord the way she did. The same way with our lives that without that problem we are facing, we would not seek God the way would in the midst of the problem.
When I checked in the Bible, I noticed that Peninnah was only mentioned in the bible this time and nowhere in the bible do we hear about her yet we here about Samuel being a great man of God. It is my Prayer today that God should wipe away your tears by giving you that miracle you have been waiting for, that will silence the mouth of our enemies for it will be a blessing to many just like Samuel was a blessing.
