Silver open 4-point gap as Wanderers coach delights with Eagles draw

Mighty Wanderers Coach, Bob Mpinganjira has applauded his players for fighting hard spirit as they leave it late to equalize against Blue Eagles on Sunday in the TNM Super League  at Nankhaka Stadium.

The Nomads scored first in the first half, before the Area 30 cops equalized in the second half.
Blue Eagles went ahead to 2-1 and as they appeared top have secured the victory, the Nomads fought hard to secure an equalizer with secondsto go before the end of the game through leaky forward Babatunde Adepoju
Mpinganjira said, “Iam impressed with the altitude from the players. They fought until the last whistle. We secured an equalizer because they worked very hard and that’s the spirit.”
Wanderers remain on position 9 with 17 points from 12 games, while Blue Eagles have accumulated 12 points on position 13 from 13 games.
Silver Strikers, who managed to collect 6 points from Blantyre after beating Red Lions and Ntopwa FC are basking comfortably on the summit table with a 4 point gap.
The Bankers have 22 points from 12 games.
Silver coach Daniel Kabwe said the Bankers will ensure they don’t drop points to cement their chances of winning the title.
Mzuzu Warriors anchors the table with 8 points.
