Skeffa set to unveil album with ‘Chinamuluma Chakuda’ in it
Lilongwe-based musician Skeffa Chimoto’s much anticipated album titled ‘Chikondi’ is finally set for release.
The artist who has rocked the country’s airwaves with the hit singles ‘Chinamuluma Chakuda’ and ‘Dalitsani Okondwedwa’ will officially launch his latest offing this weekend.
He has lined up three launch shows, kick-starting with Zomba where he will be performing Friday night at Club DNC.
On Saturday night, he will be in Blantyre at Robin’s Park, then Sunday afternoon in Lilongwe at Europa (Wakawaka).
In an interview with Nyasa Times, the musician said everything was set and his Real Sounds Band was ready to give their best.
“I am aware how keen people are to have the whole album. The four singles have created high demand, and what we have prepared for our fans out there is out of this world.
“We want to show them that Real Sounds Band is indeed real,” said Skeffa, adding “I am very overwhelmed with the support this album is getting, that’s why we need to give them the best.” He said during the three shows, patrons should expect to sample every track off the latest album.
Skeffa also promised free CDs at Wakawaka and Robin’s Park. Skeffa will be supported by Zambia’s Dalisoul, The Black Missionaries and Piksy (who will only perform at Robin’s Park).
Other singles currently on air are ‘Ndilandileni’ and ‘Neneleni’. The album will be marketed and distributed by Dolphin Electronics from Lilongwe.
