TNM pledge continued Super League sponsorship

Malawi’s giant mobile phone network provider TNM has pledged continued sponsorship of football in the country’s flagship football League –the TNM Super League-in the next season.

The company’s TNM Commercial Officer Charles Kamoto made the commitment during the 2011-2012 TNM Super League season prize presentation ceremony which was held on Wednesday at Lilongwe Capital
Hotel.

Kamoto said TNM was impressed with the progress made by the league since the company started sponsoring it in 2006.

Kamoto: TNM always with you

He said the company was proud to be associated with the Super League and they vowed to continue helping government in developing football.

“We are satisfied with the management, performance and outcome of the League.  I would like to announce that we will continue sponsoring the League but details of the sponsorship will be announced later on a special function,” said Kamoto.

Kamoto also added that the company is pleased that its sponsorship has made a huge contribution to the success of the Malawi National football team, the Flames.

However, Kamoto stressed that good governance will remain the key to their commitment in sponsoring the League.

Government call

Malawi’s Youth Development and Sports Minister Simon Vuwa Kaunda praised TNM for its sponsorship and urged Malawians to subscribe to TNM.

“I am requesting Malawians to subscribe to TNM because the more we give them business the more they give us sponsorship,” said Kaunda.

The Minister also requested Sulom to deduct registration fee to clubs to allow teams which have no sponsorship not to struggle in payment.

Kaunda also encouraged clubs, players, officials and supporters to properly manage and utilize this sponsorship because it meant for them.
