Trips Of no economic value to Malawi.pope would receive an invitation from the bishops or Malawi embassy which covers Italy and Vatican. Religion should not be mixed with anything else. Chonde atsogoleri anthu akuvutika kumudzi.muluzi..bingu..Joyce all failed to appreciate kuti religion is a matter of the heart …very personal and should remain like that. I’m a catholic too
Surely there are many countries which have not had a Papal visit before and they don’t go on a begging spree. We surely have better areas of need to spend our money on than paying for a trip which lacks credibility.
Ndiye magetsi akuvutawa Francis adzagona ku mdima? zamanyazi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this story make sense? What is the purpose of the initial visit to Rome? Is it to extend an invitation for the Pope visit that’s it? If that’s the sole purpose of the visit then we have a serious problem as Malawians.
Mr. Vice President, although as much as I know that you are a staunch Catholic but it seems you are so obsessed with Catholicism, you have attended so much catholic activities as compared to activities of other churches. I am not saying you should stop patronizing catholic events but its way too much for you… your actions are making other denominations feel unimportant as you have put all your emphasis on the Catholic Church. Please try to balance, the moment you ascended to that position, you became the VP for all denominations, Presbyterians, Seventh Day Adventists, Pentecostals, Moslems, a Zion,… Read more »
They are trying to make him happy as they spent over twenty days nursing the old man in the US.This is tactical just to please Chilima and seal out the wounds that errupted as the gogo was away koma its just very stupid akungowononga ndalama za boma.Nachonso osakana koma chikuti ndi chi chair cha ma reforms.stupid!!!!!!!.
You do not know the guy who is to be pleased.Do you know politics, you? If the HE leaves for VATICAN today what shall your foul mouth say.Umphawi ndi mu ubongo momwe a Malawi
I don’t think you are right. Religious matters are matters of the heart. If you are a Christian you don’t have to attend a Muslim gathering just because your are a public figure. It is wrong. Even this thing we do where Christians and moslems seat in one room praying to gods is wrong. You believe in Jesus or you don’t. Full stop. Chilima is a Catholic we all know that. He has no business in any body’s church but catholic. Matters of the heart. Handle with care.
You are completely wrong “Free up black people”. Chilima was Catholic first and still remains one! Issues of faith are better left unsaid because forcing someone to attend another religious group’s activities just to be “seen’ as accomodative does not add any value to the socio-economic but also religious well-being of this country.
